A friend and I are thinking of going to Haiti with Club Med in late October. But someone reminded me of the AIDS problem, and we are also concerned with any political trouble they ahaving there. Does anyone know if the dangers involved are higher than in most places? (now a days EVERY place seems to have some type of problem) Also, does anyone know of the number in Washington D.C. that you can call to get information on safety of places to travel (I know there is a number, I called it once before, before going to Ireland).
