My new SVGA monitor has a slight unevenness in display brightness along the left side, like several parallel dimmed furrows running down the screen spaced 1 cm apart. It is more visible in greenish colours than in others. Is this likely to get worse or better? At its present severity, it doesn't warrant getting the monitor replaced, but if it gets worse I'll want to have it looked after. Any ideas about what the cause might be? --richard
