I was recently given an Intel SBC386ATZ motherboard, with 2MBytes of SIMM memory on the motherboard. Another 2MBytes are on a special plug in memory board, with two special slots available. I'd like to add memory to the system - at first look the best way would seem to be to replace the 256K SIMM's with 1M SIMM's, giving me 8 MBytes on the motherboard. I've metered the extra address line used by 1M SIMM's - it is definately driven by something. Anybody have any ideas - I'd prefer not to have to purchase an Intel 8MByte memory board, since knowing Intel it would probably cost $$$$!
