I have been told that Route 1 in California is out near Big Sur and that travel to Hearst Castle is now restricted. Does anyone know if there is a convenient detour, and how much out of the way it will take us in our planned August vaction from San Francisco on the way to L.A. Is there any hope that the road will be fixed by the first week in August. Thanks in advance. Barry
