I recently picked-up some surplus VGA boards and would like to make use of them on several systems, but don't have VGA monitors to go with the boards. According to the literature and my understanding, a VGA graphics card can drive a lower grade monitor (i.e., EGA or CGA). Please correct me if I'm mistaken in this respect. Assuming my first supposition is not infinitely impossible, how would I go about building a mating connector to connect the male DB-9 connector used by the CGA and EGA monitors to the VGA board's mini female DB-15? Please provide pin-outs and send suggestions, comments and replies by e-mail. Many thanks! --Michael Faurot (mfaurot@bogart.UUCP)
