I just posted on here about a 286-12 motherboard for sale, and have been informed by an individual that this is not the place to post things for sale. I would like to point out two things though: 1. Posting here got me 3 replies in 6 hours. Not bad. 2. The reason I didn't post to whatever boardI was supposed to was that I was not AWARE OF ITS EXISTENCE, and I believe that some people out there who are looking to buy something may not be avidly searching for something and thus don't subscribe to misc.forsale or whatever. E.g. if I was sort of in the market for a sound blaster card and someone posted on misc.forsale that he was selling his, I wouldn't be aware of it. If, however, he posted to this board (which I believe a lot more people read), I might chance across it and perk up a bit. Summary: Sorry abou the drivel and posting about something some of you cared not to read, but to those who expressed interest, thanks. Brian

Ignorance of the appropriate group is not a valid rationalization for what you did. When in doubt, ask. If all else fails, your news reader will show you all the available news groups, your sys admin can show you all the news groups, or a simple query on the net will point you in the right direction.
