I know this is only marginal pc hardware, but there's no comp.sys.ibm.pc. accessories ... Would like any comments on monitor platforms - the little shelves that clamp onto a table or desk and allow you to raise it above the desk/table to prserve space. Some concerns: price, stability, durability, strength, size, ability to clamp onto support of various configuartions. Jeff Sicherman

They work very nicely but beware that vertical adjustment is very limited except for the top of the line (and top of the price) models. Tension control for ALL joints is very important. Otherwise they can swing too easily. F=ma and the mass in those arms with a monitor on them is quite large.
