[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Monitor platforms

I know this is only marginal pc hardware, but there's no comp.sys.ibm.pc.
accessories ...

Would like any comments on monitor platforms - the little shelves that clamp
onto a table or desk and allow you to raise it above the desk/table to prserve
space. Some concerns: price, stability, durability, strength, size, ability to
clamp onto support of various configuartions.

They work very nicely but beware that vertical adjustment is very limited
except for the top of the line (and top of the price) models. Tension
control for ALL joints is very important. Otherwise they can swing too
easily. F=ma and the mass in those arms with a monitor on them is quite
large.
