[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Trident VGA

rdw2030@venus.tamu.edu (02/03/91)

I've inherited a Trident 16-bit VGA board (looks like TVD-16???) with 512K
capability. It has 1989 on it. I do NOT have a utilities disk for it. Is
there anyone that can help me out here? Also, I need some documentation...
like switch settings, etc.

Many thanks, as always!

Hi, I,m using a Trident board with 512k.You are probably using an analog
moniter,if so then set all the dipswitches on the back of the board to on.If
you use the board in an 8 bit slot then switch dipswitch no 6 off.Jumper J1
should be in the default position(covering contacts 2 and 3).Jumper J2 should
be set to contacts 2 and 3 for autobus sizing and to contacts 1 and 2 for an 8
bit bios interface. With these settings you should have no problems using the
board, but you'll need to get hold of the correct drivers for the software you
want to run.If you need any more help just let me know.
                             bye.
