[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] CIRRUS VGA card - heard of it ?

Gumley_LE@cc.curtin.edu.au (Liam Gumley) (02/05/91)

I have a 256K VGA card installed in my 80386, and I am trying to determine
if it is compatible with any of the major 'known' brands of VGA card.
At bootup, the following is displayed.

VGA BIOS Version 2.20

INFOPLUS 1.41 by Andy Ross displays the following information about the
VGA card.

Paging mode: 4 pages of 64 registers

So I guess the chipset is 'Cirrus' but I have never heard of that brand
of VGA card. Does anyone know what that might be compatible with,
or has anybody ever come across it before?

Cheers,
Liam.
