When you say 'laptop' do you mean notebook (8 1/2 x 11) or portable (IBM P75, 3 0lb). I know the IBM's have a voltage select switch on their power supplies wh ich can be set to US or European modes.(theirs is the only that I know) At my workplace, we use alot og GRid 286's and Zeniths Supersport which are very nice . I know Sharp has a color VGA notebook that is very nice since the monitor is a full 80x50 VGA screen. You should note that 386/486 or laptops with alot of peripherals on it will not have battery power. The above mentioned laptops ex cept for the IBM are driven by battery or power adapters. The IBM one is a 486 /25 with 120Mb drive, XGA plasma orange screen. VERY powerful and requires an outlet.(no adapter :-) ) It also weighs a good 35lb.(Lug that across Dallas or Heathrow airports, especially if your connect is on the opposite side of your entry gate and you will appreciate a notebook more and more...:-) A.P.
