Help! I'm would like to know if there is a way to send mail
to my father who works for IBM overseas and has access to
IBM's internal "profs" network.
Is this network entirely self contained or is there a
special address one can use to mail to it.
Any help is appreciated! Please respond directly to me as
i don't usually read this newsgroup. Thanx Gaby

Just after passes warrant period for one month, my micronics computer
is dead. It was OK yesterday before I turn it off. This moning when I turn it on
it didn't boot up. Intead it beeped four times and did nothing else. Nothing on
the screen. After first beep it pauses 1 second then two beeps without pause
then it pauses another second before last beep was heard.(bee beebee bee).
It did not try to read floppy drive.

My 25 mhz 386 computer has a Micronics mother board with 1 mb memery and
32K cache. It has one 1.4 and 1.2 floppy drive and Mitrubishi (sp?) 62 mb fixed
drive. The video board is ATI vga wonder.

If someone can give me some suggestions I will be appreciated.

Thank you very much for help.

	Everett.

Well, if the beep code is correct (1-2-1), the PC manual says that
this beep code signifies an 8253 Timer failure. I'd probably grab a scope
and start looking there.

You are in a maze of twisty little compiler features, all different.
