Brian.Chan@samba.acs.unc.edu (Brian Chan) (02/11/91)
I have a Gateway 2000 with a Micronics motherboard (33-386) [Phoenix BIOS + 16Megs of RAM]. I sometimes encounter an "exception #13 address blah blah" trap error running MSDOS. (The system works fine under Esix Unix V.) Can anyone tell me what the heck is that? I tried RTMF but no help. (I might add that this error happens most often if I were doing things from the RAM disk using MSDOS ramdisk.sys.) I tried memory tests on those SIMMS and they all passed the tests. So what's the problem? On a second note: is there any hugh (> 4096kb) ramdisk utility? [Ramdisk.sys max out at 4096kb FYI.] Thanks for your helps in advance, Brian Stuttgart, FRG.
