So... what IS a good price for a SoundBlaster nowadays. Also, is v1.5 of the SoundBlaster the CMS-less variety? Thanks. MC"B!"L - KB5III

Currently, the SB is going for around $145. I've seen $139 on sale. btw, the
CMS feature is not worth it. I bought the SB in 9/90 and it came with the chip

YES! My docs say v1.5 and I don't have CMS chips...
BTW, are the CMS chips worth buying?

NO.... CMS sounds are merely IBM beeps and squeaks (at least that's what it sou
nds like.) Well.... maybe just a bit better since it's in stereo.
