I just purchased a 386-25 motherboard. I had asked for one with a C&T chipset, but the one they sent has an OPTI chipset. It seems to work fine, and the company I bought it from says they've had no problems with the OPTI chipset. I've never heard of this chipset before, and would like to hear other people's experience with it. If I'm going to run into problems later I'de like to know now, so I can return it and get a C&T board. I'm not concerned with OS/2 compatibility, just DOS, Windows 3.0, UNIX (coherent is what I will most likely buy), Microsoft Flight Simulator. :-) e-mail is preferred. I will summarize if I get enough info. I've never heard of this chipset Which BIOS came in your OPTI? I know MR-BIOS supports OPTI, and will outperform any other BIOS you could buy. Just one question...why would you want C&T? Without disclosing too much inside information, I can safely say there is no advantage to C&T chipsets. Many newer chipsets outperform the "old standards." MR-BIOS is available for OPTI: (408) 395-4096 -- "Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only."
