[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Composite monochrome from IBM EGA card?

jfm@uncmed.med.unc.edu (02/16/91)

Does anyone know if it's possible to run a composite monochrome monitor
(Zenith ZVM-1220-A, to be specific) off of an IBM Enhanced Graphics Adaptor,
using either the J1 or J2 connector? If I call IBM, they refer me to my
local "authorized service center." If I call my "authorized service
center," they don't know. If I call Zenith, they don't know anything about
the IBM EGA. I've tried lots of combinations of switch and jumper settings
with no luck.

Failing an answer to that, does anybody know what the EGA's J1 and J2
connectors are? The IBM EGA manual says simply, and unhelpfully,
"reserved."
