My friend is trying to install a 3,5" 1.44Mb diskdrive to his old IBM XT -computer. The BIOS seems to be giving him problems because it doesn't recognice 1.44 MB disk format. The computer is IBM XT model 286. Someone told him to change some configurations in config.sys but that does't work. What should we do now? Could we change the BIOS? IBM told him that they can sell additional board which costs around !1000 (yes American dollars) here in Finland. Pretty much for a disk drive... Jari Kaitera, Univ.of Oulu, Finland
