A friend of mine who works for the government is going to a class in San Fransisco for four days October 17-21. The government only gives her a limited per diem, so she's looking for an inexpensive place to stay in or close to SF. What do you consider cheap? If $85/night is not bad, try the
Spreckels Mansion Bed and Breakfast inn in SF. They have a
suite called the Garden Room that goes for that price. It is
well located in SF and has excellent service.
Reservations are a MUST!!
