Help! I'm using an IBM PS/2 Model 70, and need additional hard disk space. Unfortunately, every hard disk that I've found on the market is extraordinarily expensive--over $1000 for 80 megs. Also, there are very few hard disks which function with MCA. Is it true that because of MicroChannel I need a special hard disk? Am I going to have to pay that much? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. Eric Bird ERIC@YaleVM.YCC.Yale.Edu

Well, I'm having essentially the same problem with my Tandy 5000 (a PS/2 clone) - but the way I view it, the problem is not the machine, but the drives themselves. Big (>100Mb) drives are still expensive. I've actually only seem a few (<50) bucks difference between equivalent controllers for ISA machines and MCA machines. Clay Jackson
