AMI, Toshiba and HardDrives International (Where I got the drive) the pre 1990 AMI Bios has a timing problem which causes the drive to "hang up". On my AMI Motherboard (386 25MHZ 64K CACHE) the drive just sits for up to 30-60sec after short operations. Quite annoying at the least...useless at the worst. Using Ontracks DiskManager got it to work but rather not have the extra 8k of memory used up by the driver. Use the 040990 AMI Bios or later date. Still waiting for mine from my MotherBoard Manufacturer. That's basically the story here. Chuck KD9JQ
