[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] 2.88mb 3.5-inch drives for PC's

system@questor.wimsey.bc.ca (system administrator) (02/27/91)

I noted an ad in one of the trade mags (I don't remember which) recently,
where they claimed to be selling 2.88mb 3.5-inch floppy drives for the PC,
along with a floppy controller for them, which would support a total of 4
floppy drives. Apparently they will work with the old 1.44mb and 720k
floppies as well.

Has anyone had any experience with such? How does one make the floppy
drive work with DOS4.1 (since it doesn't support more than 1.44mb floppies)
...use a special driver?

Thanks in advance.
