[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Disk select on old Tandon TM100-4 360K Full Height Floppy ?

sonny@charybdis.harris-atd.com (Bob Davis) (03/02/91)

On a Tandon TM100-4 360K Full Height floppy, there is an empty
16-pin IC socket near the cable connector which I presume must be programmed
with jumpers to do the appropriate Disk Select for Drive A: or Drive B: as
desired. This socket is NOT for the terminating resistors -- I see a
T-RES pack at another spot on the circuit board.

However, there are no markings near the empty IC socket to give
the uninitiated a clue as to how to choose Disk Select x.

If you know secrets about this IC socket, I would be grateful
to hear them.

	Thanks.
