A friend of mine is hoping to (don't laugh, now, please) take an Amstrad single-floppy clone of an XT and stick in a hard disk - This thing comes out of Britain, I think, and has the power supply in the monitor - model # PC-MM .....keyboard says PC 1512 Does he have to know what kind of bus this thing has? is it standard clone-type or an oddball? what kind of drives will work in it, or what has to be done to make it work? if we get an external drive, or cable into another machine's drive, would it be worth it? what would the connection issues be there? Lots of questions. these things were being sold thru liquidators lots in the last couple of years, but I don't know if they're relatively compatible clones or not at the hardware level.
