A friend is going to spend a few months in France and would like to use her laptop. It runs on battery power, presumably NiCads, and they would have to be recharged several times. I can't get a look at her laptop -- it's several thousand miles away -- but can the batteries be charged with French wall current? The Radio Shack catalog lists some voltage converters but notes that they are not to be used with computers or battery chargers. So, if you've taken a laptop to France, how do you keep it running? thanks very much, dan davison davison@uh.edu DAVISON@UHOU davison@uhnix1.UUCP -- dr. dan davison/dept. of biochemical and biophysical sciences/univ. of Houston/4800 Calhoun/Houston,TX 77054-5500/davison@uh.edu/DAVISON@UHOU Disclaimer: As always, I speak only for myself, and, usually, only to myself.
