System: IBM AT (6 MHz), IBM controller, 2 Seagate ST4038 32 meg hard drives. Problem: whichever drive is set up as drive C works fine. Whichever is set up as drive D always stalls for about 20 to 30 seconds if it has not been referenced for a while, but then works fine after the 20 seconds it takes to recalibrate. Swapping drives proves that it isn't the drive at fault as it does it no matter which drive is D. I've heard of this problem before, but don't remember the cure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
