I'm trying to install an Everex EV-135 RAM-3000 card with 3mb of memory into an Everex System 1800i system (286-10 with 1mb on the motherboard). You'd think that two Everex products would work together just fine, but not for me.... When I power-up the system with the RAM-3000 board installed, it counts up to 1024 KB, beeps twice (or is it one long beep?), pauses, beeps three more times, and then boots up without having recognized the additional memory. The memory board works fine in another non-Everex 286-10 machine with an identical memory configuration, so I know it's not broken and the switches and jumpers are set correctly. Everex Techincal Support couldn't seem to find a solution, so I'm hoping someone on the net might have some insights. The AMI bios this machine uses is dated 1987. Do I need an upgrade to run with >1mb? (Everex didn't seem to think so.) Thanks for any help! -- --- Richard +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ | Richard M.
