I just changed my motherboard from 286 to 386-sx. Also, I put a Colorado Jumbo Tape Drive into it. To save the money for a card, I connect the tape drive to the cable which was connected to my two floppy drives (1.2 and 1.44). Now, this cable connects a tape drive and two floppy drives. I can use all three of them. However, I found that my floppy drive access becomes a little bit slower. Is this the price I pay for not using a 'tape drive' card? Or it may be a problem (defect) of my new motherboard or the old disk card (MFM)? Thank you. Kan klliou@max.u.washington.edu
