A large supermarket chain has donated a lot of PC based display equipment to Pitt, and we got our share, but as usual NO MANUALS. Could someone tell me more about the following: Sony LDP 2000 (laser disk player) IBM Display 8575154 Both pieces of equipment come with RS 232 ports and IEEE 488 ports. They were supposedly used in kiosks in the stores. Supposedly display was touch sensitive, and, under a customer's control, would display information ("how to serve seafood", "how to cut beef", etc) to the customer. Could these be used with a PC/AT? Do I need an interface board for the PC? Software? thanks john slimick university of pittsburgh at bradford slimick@unix.cis.pitt.edu
