Greetings all, I was wondering if someone out there would be able to offer some advice. I have an old (~4 year old) Compaq Deskpro model 120 running SCO Xenix. I need to upgrade the disk to something between 330 and 660MB. I priced a 330MB drive from Compaq, and then want $5000!!! I told them that they were out of their minds, and am going to look elsewhere. I would like to replace the hard disk and controller with a new hard disk and controller, preferably ESDI. Could someone out there let me know if they've done something similar, and let me know what you did, and how you made out. I have concerns about using the Compaq setup disks to get the pc to recognize the new disk drive, and controller. Any Compaq gurus out there? Thanks in advance. -- Marc Snyder UUCP: ...philabs!crpmks!marcs System Administrator ...gaboon!crpmks!marcs Ciba-Geigy Corporation Hawthorne, New York Work: 914.785.2284 Play: 914.347.6440
