I, too, read this newsgroup. Some advice...some of the Rocky Mountain passes require chains (appropriately called "Chain Laws") during inclement weather. Better check either prior to leaving, or locally for more information. Also... take food, drink, blankets, etc. in the car just in case you hit a blizzard in Nebraska or the like. I got caught once, and it wasn't fun. ...bob garmise...bell labs, columbus...
