I need a BIOS upgrade for my 386 and I'm told by AMI that the code "DINT-6102-<date>-K8" displayed by my current BIOS indicates that the motherboard was manufactured by a company called Flashcom. The board is called a 386 Cache-25 and has a 64K SRAM cache. Since the BIOS is a custom job for Flashcom, AMI tells me I need to talk to them about an upgrade. unfortunately, they could not provide a phone no. - all they knew was that it is in California, in "the Bay Area". Long distance information was no help. I tried calling a few other Bay Area companies and asking if they'd heard of Flashcom. Stragely, people kept saying yes, they knew the company, but nobody could find a number for it. Anybody know anything about this outfit??? Resposnse by e-mail would be most appreciated.
