I'm looking for a good, big color monitor in the 16" to 20" range. There seems to be a substantial price jump at the 17" size, from about $900 for the cheapest 16"ers to $1700 for the cheapest 19"ers. I'd like to not have to pay that much, but still I'd prefer something 17" or over. Any suggestions? These are my needs: NO FLICKER (top priority) I'm running 1024 X 768 X 256 on an Orchid Prodesigner II, non-interlaced. It must be able to do 70 Hz vertically or thereabouts, and be non-interlaced. Small dot pitch (.31 at the largest) Must be multi-scanning analog... I want this sucker to last. No misconvergence, etc. Are there any companies which should definitely be avoided? Any horror stories? Any great success stories? I've heard the Samsung CSA7571 17" is under $1000, does anyone have one or know if they're good? I've read in Infoworld that the Trinitron tube's design helps prevent mis-alignment problems (1-gun color) and edge-of-the-screen problems, and that the Trinitron is only found in Seiko and Sony products. True or false? If you wanna save net bandwidth, reply to ewadams@netcom.com. Ernest
