gnat@kauri.kauri.vuw.ac.nz (Nathan Torkington) (03/24/91)
Having just shelled out $350 (that's New Zealand currency; worth about half
of the American stuff) for an Ad-Lib card, I now find that the documentation
is useless. The manual tells how to put it in, and that's all. I can buy
a book on programming it, if I pay another $125 (New Zealand currency again).
What I would like is for someone out there to provide :-
# Textual (e-mail, for instance) advice on how to program the cursed card.
# Source (C/Pascal/ASM if you must/COBOL not acceptable) for a program which
will make the card play.
# Advice - on whether the AdLib is compatible with SoundBlaster for playing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and would help ease the feeling I have,
which is that I have bought a lemon which will leave a sour taste in my
mouth ...
Thanks;
Nat.
