[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] 486/25 purchase advice requested

gsb@bach.caltech.edu (Suresha Guptha) (03/08/91)

Hi netters,
I need some advice before I make a purchase. The computer that I am
thinking of purchasing has the following features:

486/25 with AMI BIOS.
8M RAM.
128K cache
1.2M and 1.44M Panasonic floppy drive
200M IDE drive (Maxtor)
14" Non interlace color monitor (Company. LOOP ????) with 1M SVGA card.
101 keyboard
large tower with 230W power supply.
Agiler mouse
MS-DOS 4.01

COST: $3588

Please let me know what I should consider before I can buy it ?
Are there any problems with the products that I will be using in the above
configuration and should I change any one of the products/components ? If
so, why ?
Is the price a good one ?

Please let me know ASAP because this quote is not valid for a long time.

Thanks,

Suresh.
