[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] DTK PCs

Frank_Murray@mindlink.UUCP (Frank Murray) (03/25/91)

I have been using a DTK (Keen 2000)-20 MHz-80386 with 9.2 megs of 80 ns RAM,
210 Megs of IDE Harddrive space, etc, etc. I have had no problems at all with
this setup. Everything runs as it is supposed to. I run Windows 3.0 in
Enhanced Mode. I have installed a Paradise 1024 OEM card, a Logitech Scanman
Plus, and various other hardware without a hitch.

Hope this helps.

I asked this before, but something was wrong with my e-mail address and
I missed some of the replies.

We are evaluating the DTK 386SX and DX as low-cost alternatives to
IBM and Zenith for faculty, students, and staff. I haven't had much
luck locating other folks who are using the computer. How long have
you been using it? What problems (if any) have you had? How difficult
was it to resolve the problem? What are you using it for?

Though we aren't evaluating the 486, I would also appreciate any comments
about that PC as well.

Does anyone know of any universities using this brand?

Thanks for any comments you have.
