My girlfriend will be studying dance from March through July this year in
Detroit. The usual reaction of people in this part of the country to her
plans is "Detroit!? Ugh!! Why Detroit?!" Surely there is something more
in Detroit than bread lines and defunct auto plants. Does anyone have any
suggestions as to what my friend can do when she isn't dancing? Music?
Food? Museums? Night classes? Anything you have to say about Detroit that
accentuates the positive would be appreciated.
