Hi, everyone. Is anybody there familiar with the AMD 80C287 math Coprocessor? According the advertisement on BYTE magazine, the coprocessor is compatible with Intel NMOS 80287. My question is that AMD 80C287 is fully compatible or just partially compatible? Can it works smoothly for AutoCAD 10? Thanks in advance for any information.

Nothing I have sees it was anything other than a (true blue?:-) 287. I don't expect any problems, either! You'll be pleased, I think. I finaly got my hands on an AMD 80287. I also downloaded a program from simtel that appears to be an 80287 diagnostic written by Intel. The diagnostic ran without a hitch and even reported that I had an "Intel" 80287 installed. My guess is that this coprocessor would work just fine on Autocad.
