This is for someone with a little extra time to spend typing in some help type text ... Ok, I've installed MFM and RLL drives before, now I've got an IDE 40Mb drive installed and running and I have to install a Maxtor 80Mb drive with it, so my question is, how do I do this. I've heard that I just daisy chain these things together and change a jumper. The 40Mb drive is a slow 28Ms job that came with a system purchase, my 80Mb is a 15Ms drive that I just purchased - which should I make the 'slave' and the 'master'? Yea a sort of understand the hardware but I've never done it before and I'm a little leary of harming the drive, BTW - which BIOS settings do I use. Of course no documentation came with the drive ...
