At one of our sites, we have a 386 which is used to monitor PLCs. It doesn't have a keyboard (it doesn't need one and there isn't enough room to put one conveniently). Upon occasion, it needs to be booted up. 8-) Without the keyboard, we get a 301 error and the computer tells us to press F1. Kind of difficult without a keyboard. Is there a way to trick the computer into thinking that there is a keyboard present? I could always butcher a (slightly) damaged keyboard. -bp-. address: a567@mindlink.UUCP
