Ok, I just picked up a scsi card for my computer and ran into an annoying problem. The SCSI is the Future Domain TMC-885 card supports 7 SCSI devices and 4 floppies, the normal stuff. It has addresses of CA, C8, CE, and DE. The problem is when I put my Trident VGA 1M Card in. I get the annoying 8 beeps and such. Between all the tech's we've managed to narrow it down to a bios problem. It seems that the Quadtel Bios chipset on the TVGA-8916 card is the culprit. Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestios as to what I can do to remedy this problem? Thanks

In the back of the manual that came with my Trident VGA card, it says that if you are using a SCSI adapter you have to change from fast address decode to slow address decode by switching switch 5 to the on position. This method worked for me. It also says, if you continue to have problems, then change jumper J2 to the Standard Interface position. This is the jumper that controls bus size detection. Ed

Hi, This is exactly what I did when I had a problem with a SCSI card, the ST01 with my Syquest. The dip switch 5 was enough and it worked like a dream. Good luck! If you have still other problems you may have to change the address range of either the VGA card or the SCSI card. Michael
