[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] HELP for "Hard Disk Controller Failure"

Our Leading Edge D2 pc computer cannot be booted from either 
driver a: or c: and there is a message on screen said "
hard disk contoller failure". How could I solve this problem?
Any help and information would be appreciated.
