[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] 287 emulator needed

jwi@cbnewsj.att.com (Jim Winer @ AT&T, Middletown, NJ) (04/10/91)

I need a software emulator for a 287. I have a job that will take
about 4 hours, but must have a coprocessor. I don't
want to buy the hardware as I have a 20MHz 286,
the 8c287-20 is expensive, and I will probably never use it again.

Does anybody know if there is an emulator available?

Commercial product less expensive than $190 (hardware price)?

PD/Shareware? Prefer on PCMagNet or Compuserv as I can
get access. Don't have FTP access anywhere on
this net. (prohibited by company for security)

I would appreciate complete references -- where to buy it/ where to
download it (including forum/file names).

Email (jwi@mtfme.att.com) or post.

Thanks in advance.
