Greetings and salivations... Got a quick question or 3. Is the write protection for a floppy drive a hardware limitation or is it something that can be overriden by a low level write routine from assembly language or something? If it can be overridden, how is this done? How do software manufacturers put information on disks that are in write protected jackets if it is not possible to override this with software? I seem to recall this line of discussion a while back (though I freely admit that I didn't pay any attention to it at the time). If some kind soul out there could e-mail a response to me (I'd prefer not to tie up the net if this has been recently discussed) I offer my heartfelt thanks. -Andy ******************************************************************************* * Harold G.
