I have a no-name 386DX without documentation. SI (5.0) reports that it is running at 25Mhz (20Mhz w/out "turbo"). The CPU performance rating SI gives is 15.8 (12 at 20Mhz). Isn't this a little low? Shouldn't it be around 24? My 286/16 gets 12.3. Am I putting too much into these numbers? I bought it at a show, but I have a few weeks to return it if I don't like it. Further info: 2MB dips (72x256x1 some -80, some -70, some -60), C&T (dated 8810 on the chips), AMI BIOS, XCMOS set for all zero wait states, and fastest DMA, all shadows are on (main, 2pages video). Unknown jumper selections. Sys config: Noname 386DX, no cache, 386DX-16 installed(!), no coprocessor; 2H2F MFM controller w/1.4, 1.2 no hard drive; Oak VGA (8 bit) 1S1P Thanks in advance. -Elliot __ Elliot Mednick (elliot@encore.com) | This .signature file is undergoing Encore Computer Corp. | remodeling for your convenience. I bet that you're just running different versions of Norton Utilities.
