I'm the lucky owner of a Fast Data 386SX 20 mhz system for about the past 4 months now. It's a nice system with an attractive case but when I opened it up I was upset to find only 4 drive bays and three filled up already. The area behind the power switch could fit probably two 5 1/4" drive bays vertically but the crummy little PC speaker is in the way. So this is what I want to do. I want to move the speaker to the outside of my machine, or run the wires into a jack that emerges outside the case and then plug in a speaker from there. Then I want to add two more drive bays in the vacant area. Has anyone ever added more drive bays to there machine? Or taken the speaker to the outside of the case? I figure it will work but I just want to see if anyone may have done the same thing I'm doing and fill me in a little on their success/failure of their attempt. Thanks for your help!
