I have a COMPAQ SLT 286 and an expansion box (docking station if you wish).
I have been trying to add COMM 3 and COMM 4 to it for some time and I have
Just been told that the BIOS dosen't check for the comm ports. This is
"Proven" by the lack of information at memory address 0400H, The "Equipment
table?" At any rate, the person on the other end of the phone, wants to
sell me a TSR to fix that problem. Trouble is he wants $$ for the program
and I'm not sure he knows of what he speaks.
I have chosen IRQ 10 & 11 and memory addresses 0320H and 0328H for the new
COMMS. I am running Windows 3.0, I have 3.7 Meg of ram. And I really NEED
COMM 3 & 4
Can some kind soul out there help? Please??
