[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] old 486 fpu bug / old Eisa chip set bug

wally@lpds.sublink.org (Walter Pelissero) (04/24/91)

I recently purchased a 486/33 Eisa based system (Hauppauge mother board).
My problem is to test if it has the fpu bug and the Eisa chip set bug
somone was talking about some weeks ago (sorry I expired the article
and I don't remember the newgroups, article, author ...).
The i486 is dated 1989 and I think is not so new for a system
sold in 1991.
The mainly used application (ColoRIX w/ ScanRIX) sometimes exits with
an Overflow and the RIX reseller told me it is the first time it happens.

Thanks in advance.
