I am trying to replace my ST-02 card with an Adaptec 16 bit card. I replaced the cards and the drive sort-of came up on it's own. I have the drive partitioned into two partitions, and the first one came up. I could access and run the files, but I could not boot. I tried low level formating, but nothing could format the drive (without the st-02) I then tried to fdisk the drive, and it seemed to work, but when the system rebooted, the partitions I defined weren't there. (It did delete the partitions, though) Does anyone know what I should try? I don't have the manual for the Adaptec card, so I can't look anything up.
