Help, my damn 2400 baud Zoom (r) Hayes-oid modem which was working just fine in my old XT clone is now noisy (lots of bizarre characters appearing randomly) *and* refuses to tell the software that it has connected to host (DSR doesn't seem to change) now that it's in my new 33Mhz 386 box. I just moved it and the software (ProComm 2.0) driving it and now it's neatly screwed up. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it the much faster machine? And even more important does anyone have a suggestion towards its cure? Many many thanks, jeff godden@xray0.bchem.washington.edu
