I sorry about reposting this but something went wrong last time. I have a WD1003 RA2 (F0001) controller and a Miniscribe 8438 disk. A kind lady at WD has told me that the RA2 F001 controller is a translating controller that presents RLL disk as 17 sector disks. Is this true? The Misiscribe is curently formatted as 20Mb. Is there any way of getting it up to 30Mb? I am thinging of buying a new drive, and the Seagate ST277R looks a good buy at the moment. Will this work on this controller? what capacity will it have? How will it present to the system (ie what drive type will it require in setup)? Thanks in advance keith Smith
