[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Please help me identify an internal 1200 bps modem.

sonny@charybdis.harris-atd.com (Bob Davis) (05/16/91)

I need to identify a 1200 bps internal short-slot modem
which I bought in a net deal. I also need switch settings. Any help
much appreciated.

This is a Hayes-compatible 1200 bps modem. The bare side
of the card is etched with the characters: TH012-I.
There is an 8-unit switch labelled SW1 at top of card.
There is a two-unit switch near the bus connector at bottom
of card. This switch is labelled SW2.
Near the speaker at upper-left of card is a variable resistor
with screwdriver adjustment labelled "VR1". My guess
is that it is a volume adjustment for the speaker
		audio.

If you know modem brand, function and/or settings of SW1, SW2, or VR1,
please tell me.

	Thanks,
	Bob
